She has extensive experience teaching Basic and General Therapeutic classes, as well as Seniors; Cancer, MS and Parkinsons patients, and those with chronic pain.

TeresaTeresa Austin

Teresa was a world mythology teacher for many years. And it was the ancient mythologies of India that brought her to her first yoga class twenty years ago at the age of 33. As the class began to flow in and out of the ancient poses, Teresa became curious to find out more about the gods and goddesses she was embodying. Her spirit was deeply moved, and it was because of this that the pages of Myth Asana® began to unfold. Today, Teresa weaves the beautiful symbolism of Hindu mythology within the grace and strength of yoga in her unique classes. Teresa developed the World Mythology curriculum through the prestigious UCSD standards for the Grossmont High School District. Teresa will also be receiving her 1000 hour certification in Yoga Therapy this year, in order to create a therapeutic modality which includes the power of mythology as part of the healing path to her clients. Teresa regularly volunteers for The Sean O’ Shea Foundation and Rady Children’s oncology. For more about Teresa, please visit: www.mythasana.com

2014-Kat-sm[1]Kat Gregory

Kat Gregory lives, loves, and laughs in Bend, OR with her family and dogs! “Yoga has been an integral part of my life for about 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live more fully and be a better parent, wife and friend. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Marketing for Colorado State University and upon completion, and seeking adventure and opportunity in SoCal, I moved to San Diego, CA. Mindfully stepping back from a successful corporate career after becoming a mom, I completed my 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at Roots and Wings Yoga with Lisette Hart in Vista, CA, followed by Pre- and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Liza Janda of Vista, CA and blissfully became a Certified Relax and Renew Trainer with Judith Lasater. I have been deeply inspired and my teaching influenced by studio owner and teacher Rached Maalouf of Escondido, CA. I will always be a pupil of the practice and in addition to every teacher, every student I have ever had has taught me something wonderful and I am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom they have shared with me.
