Option for a Belt when someone has hand Osteoarthritis

A few of my seniors mentioned how painful and difficult it was for them to hold the yoga belt in certain poses, like stretching the legs from seated.  Do you know if there exists any kind of a softer, maybe thicker kind of belt for people with arthritis?

I often recommend a man’s tie or robe belt that is softer for the hands. On the flip side… working on hand arthritis movements like self-massage, oiling the joints, strengthening the grip by simulating turning the door knob and ignition key can bring more mobility and strength into the fingers and hands .  Here is a video that can help explain the value of oiling and self-massage.
