I found my passion for Chair Yoga Dance at the age of 59, when I watched a YouTube Chair Yoga Dance video by Sherry Zak Morris to Louis Armstrong’s, What A Wonderful World. I felt so inspired and joyful that I just had to try it. It was as if I had come home! I was fortunate enough to introduce CYD to the Post 16 students/secondary students that I worked with who all have autism. The response from them was amazing! To see the joy and many benefits that CYD brought to these kids such as improved co-ordination, listening and focus along with their mental wellbeing inspired me to explore other avenues including adult centres for seniors and adults with disabilities. I am now continuing my journey with CYD and cannot wait to see where it leads me!
