Where can you Get the Soft Balls and Sticks that Pinush uses in her Chair Yoga Class?

We get this question alot, so I thought I would share the details. Pinush is our lovely creative teacher that came up with these prop ideas after viewing YouTube videos. (Yep, we learn a lot on YouTube don’t we?) Here are the details from her.
- Sticks – These sticks were created from dowels that I bought at Home Depot and had them cut to 6 foot lengths. The width of the dowels are 3/4 inch. I had a handyman sand them smooth (we don’t want any splinters) and he adds a few coats of varnish to make them smooth. For added safety, we put on a furniture rubber stopper on the bottom to prevent slippage on slick surfaces. The cost for each stick (with labor) was around $3.00.
- Balls – These balls are soft and a bit squishy. They are about 4 inches in diameter. You can get them at a dollar or drug store or in a kids toy section. Depending on how often you use the balls, you might have to inflate them at time or two to keep them firm enough to work with. The cost is about $1/each.
